The Museum & Oral History

Museum

This is coming along nicely, thanks to Brill URC’s generous offer of a permanent home in their upper room.
Thame Museum donated a display cabinet which will be very useful, Bridget Micklem gave us some
wonderful display boards and we are gradually sorting through the huge collection of documents,
photographs and artefacts. You may have seen the display boards in use in All Saints Church to stage a small
exhibition of photographs of old Brill. This has proved very popular so will be there for a few weeks more.

Oral History group

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our get-togethers with senior members of the Brill community, listening to ladies
and gentlemen who grew up in the parish and are happy to talk and let us record their memories and stories.
In fact, these tea parties have proved so popular, we’ve decided to make these ad hoc meetings a regular
monthly event. Please get in touch if you’d like to be involved.

The lost tapes

Great news the lost tapes recorded by the late Chris Whiteman have been recovered and passed back to the Brill Society by his wife Liz, The tapes will now be digitally remastered and soon will be avalible for you to hear.
